I feel pride in mentioning that the Institution is situated in the home Taluka of the Great Saint Shri Sant Gadge Baba. The holy person was born in a small village “Shendgaon” Tq. Daryapur, on 23 February 1876 He devoted all his life for the advocacy and propaganda of eradication of illiteracy, poverty and superstitious through his “Bhajans”. He imbibed into people importance of education. So he is known as “Chalte Phirte Vidyapith” (Mobile University). Sant Gadge Baba was not educated but has vision and knowledge.

The Janvikas Shikshan Sanstha, Yeoda established the college with the vision to become a part of the fulfillment of the dream of Sant Gadge Baba. The college is situated in the western region of Vidharbha, 70 kms. away from Amravati and Akola Districts and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravti. The institute is near from “Melghat Tiger Reserved forest”. The college offers under graduate courses in two streams Arts and Commerce. We can proudly say that it has indeed grown from a seedling into a big tree that has not only sheltered thousands of youngsters but also molded them into great personalities. Since a large number of students come from an economically weaker section of society, we try to imbibe in them good values, so that they become responsible citizens of our country. The college aims at catering to the academic excellence of the students by providing them with facilities to develop their inherent talents.
